The Iris is pleased to offer for your dining experiential pleasure a themed afternoon tea for each month of 2012.

Join us Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:30 pm, for a very special afternoon full tea celebrating Valentine's Day and Italy. There are several stories about the origin of Valentine's Day. One of the most popular is of an Italian priest by the name of Valentine who befriended a female while in prison for his religious beliefs. Before he was executed, he left a note and signed it simply "your Valentine". To honor all lovers and special people in our lives this February the Iris will honor St. Valentine and his native country, Italy. We will be serving amazing fare and teas themed to Italy - the lover's capital. Limited seating available. $20 per person Click to the menu for the tea!

First Friday Art and Tea Tasting! Friday, February 3 from 6:00-9:00 pm. Stop by for complimentary tea tasting. This month we will be highlighting Hidden Garden - a delicate white tea graced with a gentle touch of peony and a subtle fruitiness. We'll also have some goodies to sample.

Saturday Brunch - Call for a reservation for this very special Brunch served full afternoon tea style. Limited time offering - $18 per person

Mad Hatter Tea Party

The Iris Tea Room now offers a "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" complete with our very own Mad Hatter sure to delight and entertain your guests. Appropriate for children age 4 and up.  Guests are seated at a long table complete with stuffed arm chair for the guest of honor. Choose your tea cup and saucer from mis-matched sets turned upside down to hide the missing Dormouse while songs from Alice in Wonderland play softly in the background. Dine on sumptuous finger sandwiches, desserts and tea fit for the Red Queen!

I was on T.V for the first time ever! It was so fun and I had such a wonderful expierence. The newscast at Indystyle were all very friendly and when I was told that I would get not one, but two segements on their show I was astonished! Check out the video at:

Celebrate Irvington this Saturday, June 26 11-4 pm

It's time for the annual "Celebrate Irvington" Day. Eileen Cantin, water colorist, and Kat Thompson, acrylic/oil artist, will be on-site, brush in hand, while you browse our fine selection of local hand-crafted gifts, or sit a spell and enjoy lunch and a refreshing glass of fresh-brewed iced tea. There's so much to see and do in Irvington - so see you on Saturday - it's going to be lovely weather!

Oh, and don't forget to make your reservation today for our next monthly Special-Tea - July 16th (Saturday). There are still seats available at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Iris Chicken Salad - laced with apples, grapes, onions and pecans presented on a flaky croissant or bed of spring greens

The Queen's Quesadilla - a colorful trio of shredded cheeses topped with fresh spinach and nestled in a grilled tortilla accompanied by a dollop of fresh guacamole anhd salsa

The Duchess' Delight - Hummus, avocado, and provolone rolled in a wrap or served sandwich style on whole wheat

Royal Salad - a colorful blend of chopped turkey, ham, roast beef, and a sprinkling of shredded cheese, pecans and dried cranberries served on a bed of mixed spring greens and spinach dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette

Majestic Melt - Sink your teeth into this hearty grilled wrap layered with turkey, spinach tomato and our special herbed cream cheese. For extra zip, dip it into Bistro sauce.

Butterfly Grill - For finicky little ones, or those adults not particularly enamored with salad, order the grilled cheese "butterfly"on whole grain bread served with fruit cup and cookie (little boys are served a "dolphin" or "dinosaur" grilled cheese)

Fall Hours: Open Monday through Saturday for Lunch 11:00 - 2:00 pm and starting October 1st, Breakfast from 8:00 - 10:00 am. Reservations Recommended. Or, come in for tea and dessert anytime between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Full Afternoon Tea - 2:30 pm - join us for a very special tea to include an assortment of finger sandwiches, mini-desserts and chocolates, and of course, all the tea you would like. Reservations Required.
